I can't neglect another of my favourites from one of my favourite anime series.
Shinji is normally suffering some angst or another problem so I thought I'd be nice to him and draw him with a bit of resolve.
This pic was created via my usual means.
I draw it in pencil. (erasing my one million mistakes as I go along)
Then Ink the lines.
Add the faint lines (pencil) to seperate light areas from midtones and shades.
Colour the skin with markers...
Colour the lighter colours in markers followed by the darker colours. (Aways do black last because it can bleed into other colours, plus you dont want your markers to get those black nib tips)
Use a regular pencil to add shadow to white areas.
When I draw I normally use a mechanical pencil (HB leads) and to ink I use a technical drawing pen (0.1 mm nib)
